Viddling Around™

Due out this September, Sanyo has updated their handheld HD camcorder (courtesy of our friends at Engadget), and it’s definitely an object of desire. While the sensor is only 5.1 megapixel, it can supposedly put about 21 minutes of HD video onto a 1GB SD card. With the price dropping on the multi-gig cards, it’s easly to imagine more than half an hour of tasty HD goodness on a single card.

Other hot features:
- iPod-ready recording mode
- 16:9 still picture mode
- weighs in at just over 8 ounces

I really like the form factor of these devices, and with the feature set continuing to improve, this may be the next camcorder in my gadget bag - especially at only $700.
